The purpose of the Journey discipleship lessons is to train disciple-makers who will multiply disciple-makers, one-on-one.

 

Start discipling with Journey, and in 8 to 10 months, you'll have real spiritual multiplication starting in your ministry.

 

You’ll see more witnessing and new converts spiritually cared for daily.

 

It's all about Multiplication​

But remember that multiplication has to be intentional.  And just like in mathematics, multiplication only comes when each step is taken. Altering or subtracting any step will hurt the multiplication.

 

And remember that we are in a worldwide spiritual war for the souls of men, women, and children, and the time is short. 

 

When I think about the awesome, unparalleled doors of opportunity that stand before us to multiply disciples around the world for the gospel of Jesus Christ, I cannot be more excited.

 

I think this is the most exciting time in human history to be alive and serving the Lord.

 

People are receptive to the Word of God.

 

And every single believer can become a disciple-maker and be involved in the most important ministry in all the world.

 

And let me give one more reminder: when we go to be with the Lord, we’ll no longer be able to disciple, witness, or minister for the Lord. Those opportunities are only now.

It takes 33 to 45 meetings to complete all 10 lessons.

HIGHLIGHTS
We designed Journey in the context of planting churches, and you can begin Journey with an unbeliever, a new believer, or an experienced believer.

 

Lesson 1 is all about Salvation, and when it’s completed, tools are put into the disciple’s hands to help them witness effectively, immediately. The disciple is trained to intuitively witness to “water cooler questions.” Every lesson in the Journey is supported by websites and training.

 

Lesson 2 on Assurance has a unique Bible study method called Daily in the Word, in which the disciple reads, writes, and says the Scriptures. This is our number one positive feedback.

 

Lesson 3 is on Prayer and Lesson 4 is about the Local Church.

 

Lesson 5 is about Discipleship and calls disciples to commit to becoming disciple makers. 

 

Lesson 5 also contains stewardship. Every time a disciple completes that lesson, offerings increase.

 

Lessons 6 through 9 are on The Future, Spiritual Growth, Faith, and Witnessing.

 

Discipleship Training Modules are in lessons 5 through 9, ensuring that the disciple is ready to have their own disciple.

 

Lesson 10 is completed in one meeting and is a celebration of meeting together and of graduating the disciple to be a discipler with their own disciple.

Understand the 95% Failure

We surveyed Bible Preaching Churches and, unfortunately, found that most have a low percentage of adults who can be trusted to care for and disciple new believers, averaging only 5% of the adults; a church of 100 would have 5, a church of 200 would have 10, and so on.

 

Despite the many popular strategies and methods employed by churches today, they have not produced trusted disciplers.

Let me say it this way, think of all the popular strategies and methods employed by churches in the last 50 years, and we must be honest and conclude that they are not producing adults whom pastors can trust to disciple; Disciple Makers.

 

In fact, the percentage of Christians is shrinking year after year.

 

However, churches using Journey and its Biblical strategy have seen a much higher percentage of disciple-makers.
